Canadian Dollar

According to the Commitments of Traders, the open interest increased by 1,169 contracts to 200538 contracts.

The total positions of commercials increased by 6.2% to -92402 contracts.

The total positions of large speculators declined by 3.2% to 74,018 contracts.

Japanese Yen

The Commitments of Traders data indicate an increase in the open interest by 9.9% to 324,160 contracts.

The total positions of commercials increased by 16.9% to 148957 contracts.

The total positions of large speculators decreased by 13,557 contracts to -119027 contracts.

A relatively high index of total positions among commercials indicates the strengthening of the currency in the medium term.
